From Silicon Valley’s technology industry to the global arena, Lisa is a strategic economic development expert who’s lived overseas 24 years and has served as an adviser to ‘Global 200’ MNCs in 21 nations. Lisa’s has delivered successful launches and fixes of entities and initiatives for VVIPs, Royalty, sovereign wealth /PE funds, UHNW/family offices, foundations, and personal ventures.
A global entrepreneur and tech investor, Lisa has built 7 companies, raised over $225MM, advised 100+ SMEs, start-up incubators, and VC funds. Lisa’s private portfolio Carnegie Ventures, has invested in 76 early stage companies (internet, medical device, software). Exits incl. 18 IPOs (NASDAQ) and 10 by M&A.
Lisa created the Access to Capital model for Asia-Pacific SMEs under Executive Order of the White House, launched MENA’s first Angel investment network for the Dubai government, and created the first MENA NGO focused on strategic youth development, Arab Youth Venture Foundation (AYVF) with empowering private sector company and job creation to support regional governments’ economic diversification goals. In 12 years AYVF has impacting 5 million youth aged 6 to 26 of 105 nationalities in 11 nations. AYVF secured an historic NASA Space Act Agreement, forged the first NASA Innovative Partnership in MENA, held a Middle East Partnership with U.S. Dept. of State, was Lockheed Martin’s Partner for Innovation in Mid East, and spearheaded the GCC’s first United Nations Assoc. serving as its inaugural Secretary-General.
Lisa holds an M.B.A. in Int’l Business, an M.S. in Internet Strategy and Tech Mgmt., a B.A. in Political Science. Lisa and is currently on multi-year sabbatical pursuing an M.L.A.
