Kaswara Alkatib is creative director/ Chairman & Owner of Fullstop advertising agency, CEO& Chairman of UTURN Entrainment, founder and MD of Made & Saudi Films, Chairman of Go Digital and partner of leap studio.
Kaswara majored in Computer Engineering and started his career in P&G (Procter & Gamble) Saudi, in the marketing & advertising division. While in P&G, he used to work with P&G’s foreign Ad Agencies in localizing their advertisements (i.e. making them suit the Saudi market). Spotting the opportunity of having a local (independent) Ad agency, he decided to quite P&G. Driven by his desire and determination to start his own Ad Agency, he started his own boutique agency, “FullStop”, in 2002. His mission was to establish a creative hub that is local but with international standards. FullStop has been named “Creative Agency of the Year” for the past 3 years.
Kaswara started “Made in Saudi Films”, a fully-fledged production and post-production house, in 2009. He believes that through establishing Made in Saudi Films, he has filled the gap in the Saudi production industry.
Kaswara’s entrepreneurial vision leads him to the creation of UTURN in 2011. UTURN is an online entertainment network, which grew to become the largest Arabic MCN (Multi Channel Network), with more than 600 million views and 20 million followers & subscribers. UTURN earned him the title of “New Media God Father” in Saudi.
Kaswara has built a media enterprise with a startup capital of $133K in one of the most closed and conservative countries in the world, behind his passion and relentless efforts of challenging the norms and tapping into new areas that were dominated by non-Saudis. UTURN is now part of a pop culture. It is also seen as a key media player competing against satellite channels in KSA.
